This Placement Summative Joint Report Form has been revised and reflects the revised 2021 GTCS Standards for Provisional Registration. If you have any questions about the new standards, or how to assess against them, please contact your student's University or Placement Tutor.

This Joint Report Assessment form is for DUAL subject students only. For example, this may be a placement student who is undertaking two language subjects (such as French and German) or two sciences (such as Chemistry and Biology) or a mixture of curricular subject areas (such as Mathematics and Physics).

Student absence during placement

Students who will miss attendance on placement for any length of time must inform their placement School before 8:30am on the date of absence. They should also inform their Programme Administrator as well as their University Placement Tutor.

If you are currently expected to attend a School Placement and will miss attendance, contact the placement school, University Placement Tutor, and programme secretary before 8:30 am on the date of absence.

If you are not currently expected to attend a school placement and your absence will exceed 5 working days, please email mhses.seam@ed.ac.uk with a brief description of the circumstances.

If you are not expected to attend a school placement and your absence will not exceed five days, please check your course Learn pages to catch up on any missed work. If you need clarification, contact the relevant Course Organiser.
