Scientist Next Door Events and Resources

Scientists from the Universities of Edinburgh and Durham created the Scientist Next Door project to share their passion for science and inspire the next generation of fantastic scientists! They do live and online events, connecting families and scientists to discuss what inspires us and the science that impacts our daily lives, and to share ideas and resources.

Join the scientists and be guided through unusual experiments. Learn how sunscreens work, how your food grows, or how to make a lemon battery.
