Research inter-disciplinary networks

We are home to several interdisciplinary Research Networks focused on emerging or established areas of expertise that may straddle existing centres.

The Academy of Sport is an Independent Think Tank and Network Centre born from a desire to serve local and global communities.

The Human Environmental Resilience Research Network (HERRN) unites researchers and practitioners working to understand how environmental stressors influence human health, function and performance across sport, exercise, work and daily life. Our focus is on generating multidisciplinary research that supports individuals, communities and organisations as they adapt to a changing climate.

RIGEN brings together members with an interest in race, cultural inclusivity, internationalisation and decoloniality in education. Our research spans national and international as well as formal and informal educational contexts, from the early years to higher education.

The SCORE is recognised by the IOC Olympic Studies Centre as member of the worldwide network of academic Olympic Studies and Research Centres. Since its foundation in 2022, we have actively contributed to academic forums that discuss the values of the Olympics in our society. We work with partners around the world to develop and disseminate academic programmes on Olympic Studies to wider audiences.
