All of our staff are actively researching and delivering initiatives relating to childhood in the 21st century, and have a wealth of research connections locally and globally. All the lecturers on the course are very approachable and are always willing to answer questions. There are different options for accessing support when required. We can ask other students including those ahead of us on the course if we have trouble. The leaders of the course have encouraged us to find our own mentors outwith the course to provide support in setting. Beth, current student Programme structure This programme is offered part-time and in the evenings to allow you to work while you study.You would enter into year 2 of the programme and study with us for three years to achieve the BA qualification.Each year you will undertake one 40-credit course and two 20-credit courses.All courses are compulsory, but you will be able to pursue your interests throughout the programme by selecting topics for your assignments. The opportunity to share practice and professional discussion with the lecturers and my fellow students has been invaluable to my developing practice. [The programme] has caused me to critically reflect on my practice and reconsider long-held conceptions. It has encouraged me to broaden my influence base, in particular around the subject of leadership and organisational responsibility.
