People and governance

Our governance, management group and core members.

Housed within the School of Education and Sport, the Academy of Sport brings together people and ideas from both inside and outside the University.

Within the University, the Academy is aligned to:

the Institute for Sport, Physical Education and Health Sciences, which is ranked 1st in Scotland for sport and exercise research
the University of Edinburgh Global Academies, which were created as a response to the increasingly urgent challenges affecting world stability

The Academy works closely with other parts of the University, including:

It works closely with many external bodies, agencies and partners, including the University of Toronto in Canada and FC Barcelona.
