CLD Standards Council

The CLD Standards Council is the professional body for people who work or volunteer in Community Learning and Development.

Information on the competence framework used to assess students on placement can be found in the document below. This gives useful examples of the work and actions that illustrate how students can demonstrate their competence in each competence area. It also offers the values and code of ethics which should inform and shape a CLD practitioner’s work.
