Creating and updating your profile

How to access and update staff and student profiles on the Moray House School of Education and Sport website.

Please note: This advice is only for staff and students at Moray House School of Education and Sport. We can't add profile links to any other School's website.

Setting up a new staff or PhD student profile

  1. Go to https://edwebprofiles.ed.ac.uk/ and click the tiny grey coloured '<CMS login >' link at the very bottom right of the page (not the red 'MyEd' button)
  2. Click your name on the black-coloured bar at the top of the screen
  3. Click 'View profile' from the menu that appears below your name
  4. Click 'Create profile page' from your profile
  5. Click the 'Edit draft' button on your profile
  6. If you are a PhD student, make sure you tick the 'Create PhD student profile' button
  7. Fill in all relevant fields, then hit 'Save' and then 'View Draft'. Check that everything on your profile looks right.
  8. Once you're happy with how it looks, click 'Edit Draft', scroll to the bottom, and click the yellow 'Publish' button
  9. Email the School's Digital Content Officer to let them know you have a profile they can link to from the Moray House website

Adding PURE to your profile

The PURE feed section of the profiles is not working at this time. Please do not fill it in, as this will result in you getting errors when you try and save your profile. If you would like to link to your publications, we recommend adding a link to your page in the Research Explorer (which automatically pulls information from PURE) to either the 'Research' or 'Extra Categories' tab. If you have any questions, please contact the Digital Content Officer.
