'Embrace adaptability, perseverance and intellectual curiosity. A PhD is as much about personal growth as it is about academic achievement.'

'My findings show that children engaged in stewardship with joy and a strong sense of agency. Seeing young children choosing to engage in the program and reflect was a fulfilling experience.’

'Remember that everyone’s project and journey are different, so there isn’t one single way to do a PhD.'

'When I decided to retire and to try to answer this research question about biomechanical mobility, I looked for staff that are experts in the field.'

'I found my PhD research study the best thing that I have done in my life...It was a great opportunity to continue to learn new knowledge and skills, to become a critical thinker, as well as find different ways of working (e.g. digitally) and finding time to write academically.'

'It was such a supportive and inspiring environment, one that both engaged and challenged me. Any form of doctoral study is a significant challenge, but my supervisory team and the interactions I had with a diverse group of peers always spurred me on and scaffolded that journey.'
