Moray House School of Education and Sport (MHSES) is proud to partner with Place2Be, a children’s mental health charity. This unique partnership has been introduced to enable MHSES student teachers to strengthen their understanding, skills and knowledge around children’s mental health and to support their own resilience as they pursue their teaching careers. Students can access mental health expertise through a dedicated Place2Be clinician, who is embedded in our Teacher Education team. Students can also participate in Place2Think, an opportunity for them to reflect on the impact teaching may have on their own emotional health and wellbeing. After a successful two-year pilot, we are delighted to formally welcome Place2Be into Moray House. The programme provides a new generation of teachers with unique resources to better understand mental health, ultimately benefitting the children and young people they will work with.
