Megan Keith Crowned U23 European Cross Country Champion

Megan Keith clinched the title of U23 European Cross-Country Champion at the 2023 SPAR European Cross-Country Championships in Brussels, achieving a record-breaking result.

Representing Great Britain in the U23 race, the Sport Scholar and Moray House student showcased her prowess on the European stage. Keith confidently seized the lead and crossed the finish line with an impressive time of 25 minutes and 32 seconds, setting a record-winning margin of 1 minute and 23 seconds and smashing the best in championship history by 39 seconds.

In addition to her individual achievement, Keith played a crucial role in securing the team gold, contributing to the success of her teammates Alexandra Millard and Eloise Walker, who secured 11th and 15th place finishes, respectively. This collective effort resulted in seven medals for the Great Britain squad.

Keith's exceptional performance underscores her dedication and hard work, as she successfully balances her academic and athletic pursuits and emerges as a rising star in the world of sport. Currently, Megan is focused on sustaining her momentum in both track and cross-country circuits, following an impressive debut at the World Athletics Championships earlier in the summer.
