Further information on Registration Complete matriculation and officially enrol After you have registered with the University, prior to your arrival, you will be required to confirm your attendance through matriculation, the process through which you are formally admitted as a student to the University of Edinburgh. All students must matriculate with the University at the beginning of their studies, and then matriculate for each new academic session thereafter. Find out how to matriculate Matriculation carries with it the agreement to abide by University rules. This includes payment of your tuition fees and other related costs and allows access to the services and facilities offered to you by the University. Arrange payment of your tuition fees If you have not already arranged the payment of your tuition fees, you will have the opportunity to do so during Welcome Week. Find out how to pay fees If you are eligible for student loans, tuition fee assistance and/or maintenance funding, make sure you have applied for these prior to the start of your course. Arrange your student card Many University facilities can only be accessed with your University student identity card. An email will be sent to the address you supplied on your online application before the programme starts. However, if you do not receive this information, please contact University Card Services.
