It is important to register with a local GP when you arrive in Edinburgh in case you need medical advice or treatment while you are here. All you need to do is go to a local doctor's surgery, speak to the reception staff to check that you live within the practice area, and they can help you complete the necessary forms.

If you are already registered with a doctor in the UK please take your medical card. Please note if you are here for 3 months or less, you do not need to register but can be seen as a temporary resident if necessary.

It is therefore necessary that you read the Good Citizen Guide which outlines how every student is expected to behave responsibly on-campus and within the city during this pandemic.
