Welcome to the PGDE secondary Programme. Below is a summary of the events for Welcome Week. We have gathered all this information together in one place for ease of access for the first week. 

Your timetable information can be accessed via My Ed for the programme. There is also schedule information on the relevant LEARN sites for each course and information about the lecture schedule on the programme LEARN site. A link to the LEARN site will be posted shortly.

Your induction

Your induction will take place Monday 18 August - Friday 22 August. You should plan to attend sessions 9am - 4pm during this week. 

Your induction will include welcome sessions, information sessions, and the first teaching sessions of your programme.

Getting the most out of your student experience

Learn about the support and advice services available to you as a new student, so you’ll always know where to go and who to contact if you need assistance. Speakers include: Senior Tutor, Student Experience and Support Office (SESO), Wellbeing Service, Peer Support, Student Voice and Student Community.

School induction and the Welcome Week app

The standard University semester 1 opens with Welcome Week 8-12 September. You will already have started your programme and settled into your courses. However, you are very welcome to attend events taking place in Welcome Week that fit around the other commitments in your timetable. It may be that you are unable to attend some of these sessions live; however, recordings will be made available and published on the Student Hub after the event. 

It is recommended that you download the University Events App where you will find all Moray House and University-wide welcome events.
