The Strength and Conditioning Performance Gym is a bespoke training facility catering to a range of performance needs. It offers a variety of equipment including free weights (bars, dumbbells and medicine balls), pulleys, exercise bikes, dome balance balls and benches. Both during and outside of the programme, the Strength and Conditioning suite is accessible as a practical facility to enhance your studies and develop your coaching skills.

Choose your option courses by 4 September
Before commencing your studies, you must select which option courses you would like to take in the 2024-25 academic year.

Some suggested relevant option courses are as follows (20 credits each):
- Sports Nutrition 3 (SPRT10034) - Level 10 - Semester 2. To be eligible for this course, students must not have already completed an undergraduate sports nutrition course.
- Sport, Society and International Development (EDUA11299) - Level 11 - Semester 2.
- Sport and Exercise Medicine 4 (SPRT10027) - Level 10 - Semester 2. Only for those with a strong anatomy background and strong English.
- Sport Science: Workplace Attachment 3 (SPRT10051) - Level 10 - Flexible year-round. If you are undertaking a work placement, you may be able to base your workplace attachment assessment on this.
- Sport Industry in a Global Context (SPRT10056) - Level 10 - Semester 2.
- Quantitative Data Analysis with SPSS (REDU11029) - Level 11 - Full year.
- Exercise Prescription for Rehabilitation 4 (SPRT10025) - Level 10 - Semester 2.
- Data, Sport & Society (STIS11002) - Level 11 - Semester 2.
We cannot guarantee that you will be allocated a space on your selected course. Course choices are subject to approval by Course Organisers and Programme Directors and are dependent on course capacity. Course choices may be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We will do our best to allocate all students their preferences.
