We are very excited about the talented and dynamic group of students who will join us in September. We know you will enjoy living and studying in the beautiful and iconic city of Edinburgh.
Our programme is both academically rigorous and also closely in line with professional practice. The MSc provides a rich learning experience drawing on the strengths of the academics within the School as well as the experiences of your fellow students and the wider S&C community.
On this site, you will find useful information aimed at helping you make a smooth transition into your studies at Edinburgh. In particular, please take a careful look at the Pre-arrival section which describes your immediate next steps and how to connect with your cohort peers. On this page you will find an Option course choice form which you should complete by 4 September. The Key Dates section describes the unique aspects of our programme induction with information about your compulsory induction session.

To help you best prepare for your MSc, your Programme Director has identified some pre-reading materials which will give you a head start on your programme.
The postgraduate taught programmes (PGT) are supported by a dedicated Administration and Support Team.
Our Postgraduate support service teams play a pivotal role in all aspects of your experience studying with us, ranging from student support and general guidance, providing course material, timetables and importantly, getting marks out to you.
These teams will guide you through your time at Edinburgh, from the moment you join us at Welcome Week, until your graduation day. Support continues after graduation, as you will always have a friendly face to greet you and helpful assistance when you need it as a member of our alumni community.
