Hi everyone! I am thrilled to welcome you to the MSc Education Programme (including all pathways)*! I am very excited about the talented and dynamic group of students who will join us in September 2024, and I can't wait to meet you!
The MSc programme has a unique pathway structure, which reflects the cross-disciplinary nature of Education. The programme provides a rich learning experience drawing on the strengths of the academics within Moray House School of Education and Sport, as well as the experiences of your fellow students. You will have the opportunity to select different courses and tailor your experience here with us based on your own interests and career goals.
On this site, you will find useful information aimed at helping you make a smooth transition into your studies on the MSc Education (All Pathways), including the Pre-arrival section, which describes your immediate next steps and how to connect with your cohort peers, and the Key Dates section, which describes the unique aspects of our programme induction. The Pathway structure and selecting courses page includes a form that you should complete by 4 September! *If you applied directly to a specific pathway, your offer will indicate the pathway name. If you currently hold an offer of MSc Education, you will be allocated to the General Pathway – MSc Education (General).

To help you best prepare for your MSc, your Programme Director has identified some pre-reading materials which will give you a head start on your programme.
The postgraduate taught programmes (PGT) are supported by a dedicated Administration and Support Team.
Our Postgraduate support service teams play a pivotal role in all aspects of your experience studying with us, ranging from student support and general guidance, providing course material, timetables and importantly, getting marks out to you.
These teams will guide you through your time at Edinburgh, from the moment you join us at Welcome Week, until your graduation day. Support continues after graduation, as you will always have a friendly face to greet you and helpful assistance when you need it as a member of our alumni community.
