Hello and welcome to the MSc Dance Science & Education programme!
We have constructed and developed the programme to reflect an up-to-date understanding of the science and pedagogy that underpins all forms of dance practice and its advancement. During your studies, you will engage with and have opportunities to apply current research to practice.
We are delighted to have a cohort joining us this year who come with knowledge and expertise of a range of dance styles and experience. And we look forward to meeting you all to discuss your intentions and aspirations so that we can, together, shape your future as dance science and education practitioners.
On this site, you will find useful information aimed at helping you make a smooth transition into your studies at Edinburgh. In particular, please look at the Pre-arrival section which describes your immediate next steps. On this page you will find an Option course choice form which you should complete by 4 September. The Key Dates section describes the unique aspects of our programme induction with information about your compulsory induction session.

The postgraduate taught programmes (PGT) are supported by a dedicated Administration and Support Team.
Our Postgraduate support service teams play a pivotal role in all aspects of your experience studying with us, ranging from student support and general guidance, providing course material, timetables and importantly, getting marks out to you.
These teams will guide you through your time at Edinburgh, from the moment you join us at Welcome Week, until your graduation day. Support continues after graduation, as you will always have a friendly face to greet you and helpful assistance when you need it as a member of our alumni community.
