Dr Hui-Chuan (Jane) Li is the recipient of the Janet Duffin Award for 2025, as announced by The British Society for Research into Learning Mathematics (BSRLM). Dr Li, Lecturer in Mathematics Education at Moray House School of Education and Sport, received this prestigious award based on her article, "STEM education and sustainability: What role can mathematics education play in the era of climate change?" Published in Research in Mathematics Education (RME), it was selected as the journal's most outstanding contribution in 2025.Alongside her role as lecturer, Dr Li is a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications. Her research focuses on mathematics education, sustainability, and climate change. She leads the Maths strand of the Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) Secondary programme and co-leads the Teacher Education, Curriculum and Pedagogy Research Hub, supporting collaboration and contributing to the University's research culture.As part of the award, Dr Li has been invited to deliver a plenary talk at the BSRLM Conference on Friday, 12 June at King's College London.
