Although we use a range of different learning technologies, the main virtual learning environment (VLE) we use for our courses is called ‘Learn Ultra.’

You will have access to the course site on Learn Ultra from Monday 14 September, which is when the semester 1 welcome period begins (‘Week 0’). During this period, you may use this time to familiarise yourself with the course on Learn Ultra and introduce yourself to your peers on the ‘welcome to the course’ discussion forum. The semester then formally starts with Week 1 of teaching on Monday 21 September.

You should also familiarise yourself with the MSc Social Justice and Community Action ‘programme hub’ page on Learn Ultra. This space contains essential programme-level information, including our programme handbook, as well as essential and useful information for new online students. The programme hub is also where student community activities take place and it is a space where you can communicate with your student representatives. The Programme Director and Academic Cohort Lead use this space for programme-wide communications.
